Connecting with the world - Social Studies

In grade 3, students will demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of how geographic, social, cultural and linguistic facts affect quality of life in communities in India, Tunisia, Ukraine and Peru. Today, we researched about where we live today in the world and explored areas we would like to travel to in the future. Tomorrow, we will be linking where we are in the world Tunisia which is country in Africa. Later, we will be discussing the other communities. Students will learn to appreciate the similarities and differences among the people and communities as we learn about their beliefs, traditions and customs as we compare and contrast with our own.
