What is Sound?

Today in science we learned that sound has meaning! We took a 'sound walk' around the school to record 'high pitch' sounds and 'low pitch' sounds. We played 'Sound Bingo' and the students had to match the sounds they heard to the picture of the sound. I must say that it was a little LOUD in class today. We played with all kinds of musical instruments and know now that sound is made by VIBRATIONS! We investigated loud, quiet, long and short sounds. Stay tuned to information about our class making homemade instruments!

    WOW!!! I have to admit that I was a little behind in my blog reading. But today I sat down and read through them all...to make sure I hadn't missed anything.


    I thoroughly enjoyed reading through all the many adventures you guys have been having. Also loved seeing all the pictures and videos!! It is really neat to see what you guys are learning and how you are learning it.
