What are Zones of Regulation?

The Zones is a systematic, cognitive behaviour approach used to teach self-regulation. The Zones teach students to become more aware of, and independent in controlling all their emotions. Mrs. Joanna Johnson will be a guest speaker coming into our class to teach 3ST The Zones of Regulation program. Today we learned: GREEN- We are happy, calm, ready to learn, focused...RED: angry, yelling, elated and can be out of control. BLUE: sad, sick, tired, bossy and move slowly...YELLOW: frustrated, worried, silly, wiggly, worried and lose some control.
We look forward to having Mrs. Johnson back again this Friday.
