Construction play

'Construction play' involves many things such as assembling, taking a part, stacking, inquiry & sorting to name a few. Students manipulate the objects at the same solving simple problems as they arise. The rich conversation that happens when children build both improves oral language skills & reinforces the belief I have that building & play are so important.

These two built a community. Their school is at the heart of it. The enthusiasm while constructing this idea was a joy to witness!
